Our Aim

We have built our practice on personal service and attention to detail. We do not believe that one size fits all. Our aim is to provide you with a proposal when you need it and tailored to your requirements.

What we do

We work directly with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO), the Community Trade Marks Office (OHIM) and the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).

We have a network of attorneys based in most overseas territories who, like us, are members of the International Trademark Association (INTA). We maintain regular contact with them by exchanging business and sending and receiving enquiries. We meet many of them at least once a year and have visited some of their offices. We select those best suited to the task.

How we do it

We deal with all aspects of trade marks, designs and copyright including:

  • arranging searches to check if marks are available for use
  • helping you to develop a strategy to protect your trade mark/design in your key markets
  • reviewing your portfolio
  • helping you to make best use of the community trade mark, international registration and national registrations to build a trade mark/brand portfolio
  • setting up trade mark watching services and reviewing watch notifications to avoid damage to your brand

We also:

  • deal with objections and oppositions to trade mark applications
  • deal with invalidations, cancellations, revocations, recordals, renewals with the UK IPO, OHIM and WIPO
  • advise on infringement and passing off
  • advise on enforcement of IP rights
  • advise on copyright
  • advise on United Kingdom registered designs and registered community designs
  • help you to maintain the value and validity of your trade mark/brand portfolio
